Pfeiffer University is seeking a qualified candidate who will be responsible for advising student majors, mentoring undergraduate research projects, and working with other science faculty in strengthening Pfeiffer's science program. Teaching responsibilities may include classroom instruction and laboratories in kinesiology, biomechanics, strength and condition, motor learning, prevention and care of athletic injuries, medical terminology, and practicum. Other responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate research, working with an interdisciplinary team, and co-advising Health and Exercise Science Club. The successful candidate will support the overall mission and vision of Pfeiffer University through excellence in teaching and advising students in the School of Applied Health Science. A commitment to the principles of servant leadership, working with Undergraduate/Graduate/Adult students, and involvement in university and community service is strongly desired. This is a full-time, faculty position to begin in August, 2019.

A PhD in Movement Science, Exercise Science, or closely related discipline from a regionally or nationally accredited university is required. Previous experience in teaching and advising adult students is preferred. The successful candidate should be able to integrate practical 'real world' experience to the classroom setting. Strong commitment to service and leadership and being a team player is also desired.
